Husna has over 10 years of data protection experience having qualified as a solicitor within Reed Smith’s Media & Technology team in 2007 and then moving to Channel 4 in 2009. Here she acted as principal contact for data protection matters dealing with all aspects of day-to-day compliance with relevant data protection legislation. She also advised on several key projects, including the development of Channel 4’s innovative data-driven advertising model, the launch of the Viewer Promise and preparing for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Since leaving Channel 4 at the start of 2017, Husna has worked as a privacy consultant advising a range of clients (including tech start-ups, an investment firm and a global entrepreneurial community) on GDPR compliance and other broad data protection matters. She has experience of establishing and implementing internal privacy compliance processes as well as providing structured and general awareness training on data protection issues. Husna is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and is studying for the Certificate in Privacy Management.

Oliver qualified as a solicitor within the Corporate & Commercial team at Davenport Lyons in 2009 where he provided advice to clients on a wide range of commercial matters. Since leaving Davenport Lyons, Oliver has worked for two of the UK’s biggest companies, Kingfisher plc (which owns, amongst others, the B&Q and Screwfix brands), and Johnson Matthey plc (the science and chemicals company that leads the field in sustainable technologies). At Kingfisher plc, Oliver provided general commercial legal advice to the business, advising on a wide range of commercial contracts, supporting the Kingfisher Group’s M&A activities, drafting policy documents and advising on data protection issues such as the impact of the e-Privacy Directive. Oliver initially moved to Johnson Matthey plc as a commercial lawyer - providing legal support to business units around the globe and advising on complex industry-specific contracts - before moving into a more specialised regulatory and compliance role. In this capacity, Oliver provided day-to-day advice and training on a wide spectrum of compliance issues.
Since leaving Johnson Matthey in 2018, Oliver has worked as a privacy consultant advising clients (including a FTSE 100 company) on GDPR compliance and other data protection matters. Oliver is studying for the IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).
